My basic need was to have a program to edit my contacts on my computer. I still have an empty iCloud folder which I could probably delete and I haven't been brave enough yet to uninstall iCloud, but don't really need to now as I'm back to where I started in Outlook. I had to re-create the folders and manually click-and-drag my contacts back The thing is, there seems to be no basic steps, not that I've found anyway (I scoured the net for it!) and even the contact folders I'd created originally in Outlook were gone. I had no idea either Brad - that iCloud would reinvent my address book! If I've moved them back into Outlook folders? And if I can't uninstall iCloud, will it keep trying to sync with my iPhone? Is there any other program I can use to edit my iPhone contacts on the computer? And if so, can I uninstall iCloud? I've read that doing so will remove ALL contacts, but maybe that only applies if I leave them in the iCloud folder? Will they still disappear

Of individual folders started when I used iTunes.

Can you please explain this to me? I think the problem of the contacts going into one huge folder instead I don't understand the role of iCloud and iTunes in relation to contacts, or the connection between the 2 programs. I couldn't seem to make my phone sync via iCloud so I went through iTunes and selected whichįolders to sync with my iPhone. The main reason I tried iCloud was to be able to edit the contacts on my iPhone with my computer, instead of laboriously doing them on the touch screen of my phone. It also removed a couple of email groups that I'd created, so I will have to create them again (fortunately I saved a list of these groups with theirĮmail addresses so it will be reasonably easy to do them again). The answer - that I can manually move my contacts back to re-created Outlook folders (and sort them as I go). family, church, fundraisers etc.) I know this is not a new problem and I've found The main problem about iCloud moving all my contacts from Outlook to its own folder is that it put them altogether in one, instead of separate folders that I'd created (e.g.
